One day, through a introduction from a university professor, Brian met Miyashita, a Japanese engineer nearing retirement who held numerous patents in robotic control. Miyashita glanced once at Brian's drawings and said quietly:

"Good instincts. Still rough, though. ...Care to spend some time under me?"
