Brian and his colleagues at Crossroad launched a new company connecting Japanese technology with young talent in Kenya. In the Nairobi office, young people with the same look Brian once had spend their days bent over screens of their own. Sometimes, on calls linking Tokyo and Nairobi, he catches someone on the line quietly humming "Wimbo wa Mwezi."

I wanted this ending to move past "one person's success" toward becoming someone who creates opportunities for the next generation.
